Welcome to the Merida Brass Monkeys Winter ENDURO SERIES 2012, a three event Series brought to you by Gorrick and the Army, featuring some outstanding venues chosen for their suitability for enduro mountain bike racing and their natural beauty. All the venues have the very best course features that we know you demand, like fast flowing singletrack interspersed with fire track and mixed with enough technical sections to keep you on your toes. The courses won’t be the same as last year, as we are always seeking to improve them and we listen to riders’ suggestions, in order to give you the very best riding experience that we can. Endurance racing gives all riders a chance to shine. Whether you are a sprinter or a slogger, a good strategy, careful pacing and a little pre-event preparation will always give you a satisfying result. Race to win or race to finish, either way whatever your ability or fitness you can enjoy these events. All venues are easy to access and the Facilities at each round will include:

Riders new to our events will always receive a warm welcome and if you have a question that we haven’t answered on the website please get in touch with us: info@gorrick.com NEW FOR 2012 - New Start Times so 2 hour and 4 hour finish together. Long start loop for 2 hour category prior to joining course. PLEASE NOTE - These events attract a large number of riders from across the south of England and beyond, so to ensure that everyone enjoys their race, we have capped numbers at 500. When this is reached entry will close and there will be NO ENTRY ON THE DAY. Regular updates will be posted on our Facebook page, to keep you updated on entry availability and the course conditions. Each round will have its own prize giving and the overall series prizes will be presented at Round 3. CATEGORY AGE: Your age is determined by what it will be at Round 3 on 13/01/13 – this applies to all rounds. CATEGORIES AVAILABLE ARE LISTED ON ROUND’S PAGES It’s a Series so all rounds will count. There will be a Podium presentation of trophies on the day with Series prizes at the last round, along with some cracking spot prizes. This is totally unnecessary and could jeopardise your opportunity to ride or race at these exclusive venues due to the potential harm to wildlife in the area. We therefore ask that you either put the empty wrappers in your pocket, or discard them in one of the designated bins. Thank you. |
